Who Doesn’t Love A Pink Couch?

2011-10-29-005wlogostory

Well, seems as if winter waited until January to show up in Boston this year.  Al Gore is just eating this up!!  And as a photographer, I’m also reveling in the fact that we were able to shoot well into December outside for family shots.  Thank you Grandfather Frost for sleeping in.

But now that the cold temps are upon us, and I’m running to the car in the morning diving for the ignition just to get the heat on in time to not freeze my New England Breakfast Blend, it really feels like a new year.  New Year’s Day was just not New Year’s Day when it was 55 degrees out and we ate our hangover pizza on the back deck.

With ice on the window panes, now enters the sense of renewal, the sense of growth, the sense of beginnings.  Now enters my 2012 business plan that I am utmost, through-the-rooftop excited about.  [Enter Kristin Wiig’s SNL Aunt Sue skit here.]

Last year as my first year of photography, it was beyond educational.  I learned that I wasn’t bringing everything to the table as far as options for displaying your photographs as art.  A CD and some 4x6’s is not going to give you the wow factor like a 20x30 large wall print can hanging in your foyer to instantly evoke guests to swoon over.

Now that is art. (displayed is three 16x20’s – now do you see why 4x6’s are out?)

I am pleased to announce this new virtual art feature that is free to each and every client of Jecca D.  I can use these fancy we-wish-we-all-had-that-pink-couch-but-I’m-never-going-to-buy-a-pink-couch templates of rooms ranging from the living room to the stairway, but better yet I’m able to take a picture that you took of your empty wall space, and virtually create YOUR potential canvases on YOUR wall with YOUR images in over 30 different arrangements and sizes that I currently list for sale.  Pretty frickin’ neat, right??!

This new feature goes along great with what I’ve been wanting to offer all along – packages.  A Print Package to showcase those large pieces for everyone to actually see you had a great hair day.  A Wall Art Package for 15% off any 3 or more large canvas combinations like you see above.  And a keepsake digital CD that is now presented in a coffee table image box loaded with your 4x6 proofs for visitors to thumb through those images that didn’t make it to the wall or frame.  Want all of it at a discounted rate?  No prob.  I tend to fill up my Target shopping cart too when I just went in for a bottle of shampoo.  Now available is The Cherry On Top Collection that lets your investment in portraits shine throughout your home – on the mantle, over the couch, and all over Facebook.  (Although all collections come with a handy-dandy complimentary Facebook CD full of low-resolution images just for sharing online to win the My Kid Has The Cutest Facebook Picture Contest amongst your friends.)

So please, go and check out all of the details at my website www.jeccadphotography.com.  I cannot wait to reveal little by little, post by post, the new steps I’ve taken to give you the ultimate portrait experience in 2012 and beyond.

A sincere Happy New Year to all.  A happy year it shall be.  Full of pink couches.

  3. Love the pink couch. We just had family pics done on teal couch. My stepmom asked for a copy of any pose but the teal couch! Party pooper :)

  4. Vintage bright colored couches/chairs are the best for photo shoots, love it. I told my husband "Beware, I could go on a Marshalls run for beach towels but can easily come home with an orange crushed velvet couch at any point in time."
